Mocha Chocolate Protein Smoothie for Busy Active People!
As I head back into the school year, my morning routine gets a bit tighter, training folks with the sunrise and then commuting to school for the day. I love breakfast and aim to start my day with 30-40 grams of protein and a solid dose of carbohydrates to give me the energy I need to support me through my school day and beyond! Since my mornings are tight on time, I find myself whipping up smoothies more and more, often sipping on them while I get ready for work and then bringing on the road with me in the car for an on-the-go breakfast.
Smoothies are a quick and efficient and easy way to make sure I am fueled up and satisfied for the busy day ahead!
This particular smoothie has become a fan favorite of mine - itβs tasty, filling and packs in 44 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber!
This is a perfect smoothie for folks who are trying to add more protein into their daily menus but are also super busy and donβt have time to creat elaborate meals!
This recipe is also plant based.
Ice 1.5 cups cold coffee
1/2 cup chocolate plant based protein milk
1.5 scoops mocha protein powder
2T powdered peanut butter
1/3 cup steel cut oats
Blend it up and sip it up!
