I have been working with Michelle since late 2019. She was recommended to me when I began searching for a personal trainer to work with following several falls I took due to a bad knee and overall lack of strength. We only had a few sessions in person before the COVID lockdown began in early 2020 so we switched to virtual sessions which worked very well. I have always been active, but now in my 50's, I have shifted my focus from getting smaller/skinnier to getting stronger and Michele helped me understand the importance of strength training after a lifetime of being a cardio junky. We worked together pre and post-op following a total knee replacement in December of 2021 and my strength and mobility have improved significantly. She keeps me motivated and pushes me to challenge myself in ways I would never have been able to accomplish by myself. She has helped me set up a great program with a combination of in-person sessions, my own at-home routine, and an app that keeps me on track and accountable. Michelle has become a true partner in my overall health and self-care routine as well as a trusted friend and ally.

I hate exercising. I don't want to get sweaty, or sore, or any of that. I don't want to focus on my weight, or restricting my food intake - that's just not me. When I did finally decide to join Michelle's Summer Melt program, it was with _some_ reluctance, but once I got into it, I realized I didn't have to change much about my day-to-day in order to fit it into my life. I have an old foot injury, and she was able to modify the program to work around that. I built up strength and started making better food choices. I never felt like I was missing out on anything, and the workouts were almost enjoyable! The standout part of working with Michelle is there's no encouragement to drastically shift your being. She helps you find ways to both enjoy being healthy and make it part of your daily routine. It's not your typical exercise or diet commitment - it's a way to shift your behavior so both your body and mind are excited to be healthier. She supports you every step of the way whether by modifying your routines due to an injury, helping you with nutrition planning, or even texting you encouragement when she knows you need it most. If you're not into the typical diet - workout - stress out - repeat, then she's the one you need.

I started working out with Michelle last year in June of last year. I was clear about my goals and what I need to reach by the end of my journey. She was helpful in making me challenge myself in the gym, teaching me discipline and consistency in going to the gym. The workouts started more beginner level then it progressed as I was more able to do more challenging exercises with heavier weights. The most challenging thing I mostly worked on with her is the stability and balancing while performing the exercise, so no injuries occur during the workout. My goals are to build a better physique and have a better upper strength and overall power to the muscles. And growth. In the past 9 months I have noticed big changes to my body especially the endurance and higher performance that I am doing at the gym. My stamina is also higher as I am less out of breath lately. Overall, with the price point and the attention I receive, I couldn’t ask for a better combination from an online personal trainer.

Client following customized strength and mobility programming to augment their running
Since I started to work with Michelle I have been learning to use muscles I have used before! Coming off of a knee injury from running that totally scrapped my running season, my goals were to overcome that injury and strengthen the muscles that would make me a better runner. And after 2 years of following the programming and coaching from Michelle, I can say that I am stronger and faster than ever; frequently placing in the top 10 of the trail races I enjoy in the spring-fall season! From working with Michelle, I understand the importance of strength training to support my running as well as the importance of rest/recovery to augmenting my cardio activities that I love so much. Not only has my running improved, but I also look forward to my strength sessions!

Before this challenge, I kept making excuses to not workout but with the support and clear expectations I was able to consistently do 5 workouts in 10 days - more than I’ve done in 6 months. Michelle is a supportive and knowledgeable coach who is extremely responsive to questions and even filmed modification videos for us upon request!!
